When looking at the rear of the phone there are two ethernet ports.
The one on the left with the "network" icon should be plugged into the Ethernet port on the wall. This provides power to the phone. If the display does not light up when plugging into the wall make sure both ends of the cable are plugged in tightly.
The one on the right with the "computer" icon provides data to a PC or laptop if needed.
