When students are working in i-Ready Personalized Instruction, there may be times when educators want to adjust student placement in specific My Path domains. This may be the case when a student is struggling with lessons, even after teacher-led support. Teachers may also see that a student’s most recent Diagnostic placements are inconsistent with other instructional evidence at their disposal.
We strongly encourage teachers to pause and take stock of other available data—including recent lesson performance—before adjusting a student’s lesson placement in My Path. It is possible that a student’s lower or higher than expected placements are in fact appropriate.
