Faculty and staff are able to join the SC-District wifi network with their district username and password. Below is some detailed information about individual platforms.
In addition, if your password has expired then joining SC-District will not work. This can occur if you don't regularly use a district PC for your duties. If your credentials are not working please sign in to a district PC and you will be asked to change your password. Once you do so your credentials will work with SC-District.
If your credentials still are not working please submit a help desk ticket and someone will help get you connected.
iPhones and iPads
Upon putting in our username and password you will be presented with a screen to "Trust" a certificate from GoDaddy. Click the "Trust" button in the upper right and you will connect to SC-District.
Android Phones and Personal Chromebooks
When joining SC-District you will be presented with more options which need to be filled in. Enter the following:
- EAP method - PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication - MSVCHAPV2
- CA Certificate - Do Not Check, or Use System Certificates > Do Not Verify
- Identity - Your username (no @scolonie.org)
- Password - Your password
- If prompted for a domain name, use southcolonie.k12.ny.us
